At this point it appears to be still on the drawing board in many provinces. The federal government also established a program with little success thus far. The European programs seem to be running into problems so that might be why there is so much hesitation at this point to expand upon it here in Canada.  We may see rebates for electric car purchases before a real scrappage program.</description>
